Infor, the industry cloud company, announced that Sealord, a major seafood company based in the Southern Hemisphere, has selected Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage (F&B) and Infor Supply Chain Planning (SCP) in its first seven-year, multi-tenant SaaS agreement to increase productivity, improve forecasting and better measure sustainability.
More specifically, Sealord has chosen cloud ERP provider Infor as a strategic partner to implement an operational cloud-based platform that delivers functionality gains on day one and continues to adapt and improve.
As an asset-intensive company, Sealord is also looking for a stronger and modernized asset management solution to meet its end-to-end requirements, the company said. These include purchase and commissioning, maintenance and asset management, and tracking of both land and sea users.
In addition to reducing risk and improving efficiencies across the business, Sealord’s focus on promoting positive sustainability practices resulted in the selection of Infor CloudSuite, purpose-built for their F&B industry, to adopt specific carbon and other sustainability measures. TThis includes monitoring sea temperature and using plastics to enable and improve reporting, management, and progress toward sustainability goals. To set.
Sealord CIO Matthew Dodd says Infor was selected because it was the ideal strategic partner.
He says, “Infor has incorporated deep industry-specific features built specifically within Infor CloudSuite F&B that align with Sealord’s business processes and operations, resulting in a turnkey solution that is a close fit.
“Ultimately, we were looking for a long-term strategic partner to work with, so not only do we appreciate Infor’s decades of development leading to a strong food production capability, but we also appreciate that Infor and Sealord share similar visions for people and culture.”
Dodd continued, “We must address our legacy systems growing business and security risks. Infor enables us to re-engineer our core financial systems around current and projected business requirements. With Infor, we can simplify workflows,, automate, terminate monthly processes, and deliver standardized reports to increase productivity across the business.”
Infor also allows Sealord to add lead indicators, metrics, and other non-financial information in business focus areas such as sustainability, market share, workforce numbers, customer sentiment, market trends, and health and safety data.
The new solution also provides comprehensive multi-currency financial consolidation within the cloud ERP suite, ensuring that all Sealord Group companies are reported and managed within one system. This enables Sealord to discontinue expensive standalone consolidation software.
Dodd says: “Standardizing on one procurement system will deliver process efficiency and reduce costs. It will also improve the speed, accuracy, and visibility of planning and forecasting. With Infors’ ERP solution, Sealord saves valuable time using modern workflow, automation, and AI tools.”
Sealord has fisheries, aquaculture, and land-based factory processing operations in New Zealand and Australia and sales operations worldwide. Infor solutions will be deployed across the company.
Infor A/NZ vice president and general manager Jarrod Kinchington says the win came after a highly competitive tender.
He said, “Infor is delighted to be Sealord’s strategic partner, helping to streamline their business and realize new efficiencies with Infor CloudSuite’s innovative and industry-specific capabilities.
“We have built a very good relationship with the company despite pandemic disruptions. We look forward to helping Sealord achieve its strategic goals so it can focus on its core business while our platform provides the data and seamless tracking they need .”
