ESET has announced a new range of products for the telecommunications and internet service provider industry, aiming to provide comprehensive protection to consumers.

Cybercrime is a borderless problem, and ESET telemetry revealed that the number of cyber-attacks is on the rise, with a trend towards smartphone attacks. ESET has decided to use its technologies to create industry-specific solutions to combat these threats.

“The average internet user has no protection on their devices, despite cyber attacks such as phishing becoming more common. We believe there is a huge opportunity for telcos and ISPs in the region to partner with ESET to address this and provide their customers with a value-added offering,” said Andhika Wirawan, head of strategic business development at ESET APAC.

“We are excited to introduce the all-new family of ESET NetProtect solutions that take a different approach to protect consumers, especially families, from various online threats.

“Instead of using cybersecurity software installed locally on a device, ESET NetProtect scans and blocks threats in real-time at the ISP and Telco level before they even reach the user, effectively protecting everyone connected to the same internet connection. ”

The new ESET NetProtect can be delivered over mobile networks or fixed network connections to protect customer devices connected to telecom and ISP networks (fixed or mobile) from malicious web domains or domain categories such as malware, phishing, and potentially unwanted content. With ESET NetProtect, parents have full control over their children’s filters via Web Content Filter. The end-user management portal allows them to manage the ESET NetProtect settings of their connected devices, manage their domain allowlists and blocklists, and generate security reports. The security reports give users insight into how ESET protects their devices and provide brief information about detected threats, blocked web pages, and more.

Integrating into telco and ISP network services and existing activation processes, these network-level solutions require no software installation on end-user devices as they are compatible with all internet-connected devices such as iOS and Android. The answers are delivered as a one-click service activation from the user’s trusted Internet service provider and automatically protect any connected device. Security tailored to customer needs is ensured by providing robust local support for customers and partners and comprehensive protection that is one step ahead of online threats through ESET’s first access to a unique set of malware detected and bundled in a global network of research and development centers.

With a presence in more than 200 countries and 13 research and development centers worldwide, ESET offers more than 400,000 business customers peace of mind that their interests are always protected. ESET also helps protect the Google Play Store and is trusted by millions of consumers worldwide.
