Sealord, one of the largest seafood companies in the Southern Hemisphere, has selected Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage (F&B) and Infor Supply Chain Planning (SCP) in its first seven-year, multi-tenant SaaS agreement.
Sealord CIO Matthew Dodd says the company has chosen cloud ERP provider Infor as a strategic partner to implement an operational cloud-based platform that delivers functionality gains from day one and continues to adapt and improve in the future.
He says Sealord wants to include a stronger and more modernized asset management solution to meet its end-to-end requirements. These include purchase and commissioning, maintenance and asset management, and land and sea user tracking.
In addition to reducing risk and improving efficiencies across the business, Sealord’s focus on promoting positive sustainability practices was a factor in selecting Infor CloudSuite, built specifically for its F&B industry.
This helps identify specific carbon and other sustainability measures, such as sea temperature monitoring and plastic use, to enable and improve reporting, management, and progress toward sustainability goals.
“Infor has incorporated deep industry-specific features built specifically within Infor CloudSuite F&B that align with Sealord’s business processes and operations, resulting in a turnkey solution,” said Dodd.
“Ultimately, we were looking for a long-term strategic partner to work with, so we appreciate Infor’s decades of development leading to strong food production and that Infor and Sealord share similar visions for people sharing. and culture.”
Dodd says Sealord needed to address our legacy systems’ growing business and security risks. He says Infor will enable Sealord to redesign its core financial systems around current and projected business requirements.
“With Infor, we can more easily automate workflows and processes at the end of the month and deliver standardized reports to increase productivity across the company,” he says.
The new solution also provides comprehensive multi-currency financial consolidation in the cloud ERP suite, ensuring that all Sealord Group companies are reported and managed in one system, enabling Sealord to discontinue expensive standalone consolidation software.
“Standardizing on one procurement system will deliver process efficiency and reduce costs. It will also improve speed, accuracy, running, and forecasting,” says Dodd.
Sealord has fisheries, aquaculture, and land-based factory processing operations in New Zealand and Australia and sales operations worldwide. Infor solutions will be deployed across the company.
Infor ANZ vice president and general manager Jarrod Kinchington said the win followed a highly competitive tender.
“Infor is pleased to be Sealord’s strategic partner, helping to streamline their business and realize new efficiencies with Infor CloudSuite’s innovative and industry-specific capabilities,” he said.
“We have built a very good relationship with the company despite pandemic disruptions. We look forward to helping Sealord achieve its strategic goals so it can focus on its core business while our platform provides the data and seamless tracking they need .”
